Liz was a yogi in college as well as in dance and athletics. She began teaching yoga in 2012 after a long time away from formally being involved in yoga. She practiced in various studios in Jacksonville until deciding to become certified. She took her 200-hour Baptiste certification through MBody. Her goal was to become more knowledgeable about anatomy, the foundations of yoga and to bring that training to troubled youth in schools. Prior to her yoga certification she was trained in Mindfulness through Mindful Schools- San Francisco. Soon after becoming 200 hour yoga teacher certified, she became certified as a children’s yoga teacher through Kidding Around Yoga. She then became certified in Chair Yoga through Lakshmi Volker Chair Yoga and CPF Oncology Yoga.

Liz works in Duval County Public Schools. She is the District Designee presiding over Manifestation Determinations for student who commit offenses in the community. Liz believes in the healing power of yoga, mindfulness, and meditation. She has conducted countless classes for troubled youth involved with Alternative Programs and the Criminal Justice System.

She had a wonderful experience with her CPF students at MD Andersen pre-pandemic and as a cancer survivor she knows that yoga is a powerful tool in transforming and transcending to a better way of life, living and love.
