Meet CPF Teacher Beth

Beth Daugherty, M.S., M.A., E-RYT 500, YACEP, CPF is has been working with the Christina Phipps Foundation since 2010. She was in the first training class offered by the foundation and offered a free CPF yoga class at her studio (Lifespan Yoga) in Jacksonville, FL. Since then she taught yoga at many of the CPF class locations including Mayo Clinic and MD Anderson Cancer Center. She has been helping the foundation to train over 250+ yoga teachers since then as Executive Director.


Beth is the founder of Lifespan Yoga®. She first took yoga in 1981, lived in 3 yoga centers and has trained hundreds of yoga teachers in kids, gentle, chair and oncology yoga. She is a Continuing Education provider with the Yoga Alliance. She directs YTT200 and YTT95 Kids and Teens plus a weekend Chair Yoga certification and a weekend Living the 8 Limbs of Yoga course. She is certified in Children’s Yoga, Yoga for Cancer Patients, Chair Yoga and Curvy Yoga®. Beth’s books and digital download materials combine modern research findings for the different stages of life with ancient yoga philosophy.


Beth holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Florida, a Master of Science from Cornell University and a Graduate Certificate in Health Administration from the Sloan Program at Cornell University. In addition to yoga, she has enjoyed teaching undergraduate psychology, research design, statistics, and program evaluation. In her spare time she likes to travel, paint, garden, write and hang out with her husband and son (Go Gators!).
