To become a certified CPF oncology yoga instructor, you need to complete our specialized training program. Details about upcoming training sessions and application forms can be found on our website.

Yoga instructors who are RYT 200 and preferably hold a Yoga Alliance Registry number may apply. We also accept membership in organizations like Iyengar, International Yoga Therapists and American Yoga Council. We appreciate the diversity of yoga styles encourage and acknowledge this area of the professional yoga world is always growing and changing. If you are a member of a particular yoga affiliation, let us know when you apply.

In exchange for completing the program, all recipients of the CPF Designation agree to donate (on their own time and at no charge) 26 hours of volunteer teaching in their local community, live online or pre-recorded for the CPF YouTube channel.

You can advertise in conjunction with a yoga studio, even if your classes are not held at that location. Facilities such as medical offices, libraries, and churches can help with in-house advertising. Flyers can be posted electronically via our CPF social media. Word of mouth from your class participants is a great advertising tool. A personal endorsement of our program is the best compliment of our program.

After graduating from a CPF oncology yoga teacher training, you can report your training hours to Yoga Alliance for continuing education credit.Because CPF trainings are taught by a combination of physicians, medical professionals, yoga educators, and other qualified presenters, the hours are not entered under a single instructor or business. Please do not enter your CPF training under Beth Daugherty or Lifespan Yoga, as those are separate from Christina Phipps Foundation.Instead, enter your CPF training hours manually using the steps below.Log in to your Yoga Alliance account.From your dashboard, select My Training Hours from the menu on the left.Scroll down and click Add Training Hours.When asked who taught the training, select “Taught by someone who is not YACEP.”This is the appropriate option for CPF because our training includes multiple presenters rather than one individual Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider.When asked whether the provider meets the listed qualifications, select Yes.Enter the dates of your CPF training.If you do not remember your training dates, visit the Blog section of the CPF website and locate the post for your training. The dates are included in each training post.In the description field, enter:Oncology Yoga - Board-certified physicians and medical professionals provided instruction on Saturday, and qualified yoga educators and YACEPs provided instruction on Sunday. All presenters meet the applicable qualifications.Enter your training hours by category.For a typical CPF training, the hours are entered as:2 hours – Techniques5 hours – Methodology5 hours – AnatomyThese categories reflect the general structure of the CPF training program. Your hours may vary slightly depending on the specific training you attended, additional coursework, or homework completed.Review your information and click Save.ImportantCPF training should be entered as its own continuing education experience. Do not list Beth Daugherty or Lifespan Yoga as the training provider for your CPF graduation hours.
