Meet CPF Faculty: Melinda Ledbetter, RN, PA-C, DipACLM


Melinda serves as Instructor of Primary Clinical Skills at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. Ms. Ledbetter obtained her ADN in nursing from Samford University and her Physician Assistant Certificate of Eligibility in Primary Care from Stanford University.

She earned her Physician Assistant Board Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She was a founding member of the Monterey County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) and a board member of the Monterey Rape

Crisis Center. Additionally, she is certified as an Advanced Wilderness and Expedition Provider by the Wilderness Medical Society and certified in Advanced Wilderness Life Support through the Alabama Wilderness Medical Association. Her current research interests include introducing lifestyle medicine into the rural health curriculum as a pilot study for

incorporating lifestyle medicine into the ACOM curriculum and creating a Lifestyle Medicine elective; she is also working on a publication, Gender Difference in Global Health Among Medical School Students. Melinda is a RYT 200 and CPF Yoga Teacher at ACOM in Dothan, AL.
