Twenty Years Teaching Yoga
Katherine Sussman is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher who has maintained a dedicated yoga practice for more than two decades and has been certified to teach yoga since 2012. She received her 500-hour certification in Italy under the guidance of Dr. Liz Lindh in 2022. In addition to her work in yoga, Katherine spent 20 years as a cardiac sonographer, giving her a unique appreciation for both the science of health and the body's remarkable capacity for healing.
Yoga became an essential part of Katherine's life following the loss of her daughter in 2001. Through life's greatest challenges and its most meaningful joys, her practice has remained a source of strength, grounding, and resilience. She is passionate about the healing potential of yoga, breath work, meditation, nutrition, and mindful living, and believes these practices can help individuals reconnect with themselves during times of uncertainty and change.
Breast Cancer Journey
Having experienced thyroid cancer in 2010 and currently navigating her own breast cancer journey, Katherine understands the importance of practices that support well-being during difficult seasons of life. She is deeply grateful for the comfort, hope, and grounding that yoga has provided throughout the years and is honored to share these tools with others. Her intention is to create a welcoming space where cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, family members, and friends can experience greater calm, connection, and trust in their bodies while supporting their overall well-being.
The yoga mat has long been a place that welcomes Katherine home to herself, and it is her privilege to help others discover that same sense of peace, hope, and belonging.
