Bridget Floyd, CPF in North Carolina
Updated: Aug 6

Bridget graduated from CPF Oncology Yoga training in Wilmington, North Carolina on September 28, 2025. She will be teaching in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Bridget began her yoga instructor journey in 2019 by completing her 200-hour Yoga Certification through Tamal Yoga at Yoga Salt in Wilmington, NC. Initially, her training was more about deepening her yoga practice and less about teaching. However, after overcoming her own Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma diagnosis, she decided giving to others what she had received from yoga throughout her treatment and recovery was the best way to honor her yoga practice.
While undergoing treatment, Bridget met many women and men experiencing a range of cancer symptoms and knew they could find comfort through yoga, specifically the CPF oncology yoga classes she herself was attending. Through the encouragement of fellow CPF teacher, Holly Konrady, Bridget sought out CPF training to bring yoga to her cancer community and her new friends.
Bridget's classes, taught at the Wilmington Yoga Center, bring gentle movement and active rest to those who need it most. Using Vinyasa flow, Restorative yoga, Pranayama, and Meditation, her class aims to introduce support, encouragement, and reflection for those undergoing the effects and aftereffects of the cancer experience.
Aside from her interest in yoga, Bridget is a long time Wilmington resident and beach lover. As college English Instructor and creative writer, her love of the written word keeps her reading excessively. In between words, Bridget enjoys gardening, crocheting, making pottery and of course spending time with her husband, two teen daughters, and multitude of rescued pets.
In addition, Bridget is now serving as the CPF Alumni Communications Coordinator and is happy to contribute in a bigger role to the mission of the Christina Phipps Foundation. She now hopes to further her yoga education to vary her offerings but will remain devoted to the cancer community.
