Andria Roberts will be speaking at our July Oncology Yoga training in Daytona Beach. She began her nursing career in 2002, entering an associate's degree program at Daytona State College. She graduated in 2005 and obtained her RN. In 2009, she obtained a bachelor's in nursing from AdventHealth University. Andria is certified as an Oncology Certified Nurse and an Oncology Nurse Navigator - Certified Generalist.
Starting out as nursing student, Andria worked on a medical/ oncology unit at AdventHealth Deland. After obtaining her RN, she worked as staff nurse and then clinical lead. She also served as a preceptor and obtained chemotherapy certification.
In 2012, Andria transitioned to the outpatient setting at AdventHealth Cancer Center Deland. She worked as a chemotherapy infusion nurse and she was involved in improvement projects. In 2013, Andria took a position as RN lead for MidFlorida Cancer Centers. Working closely with a medical oncologist, she assisted with the management of support staff and caring for patients with cancer and hematologic disease.
In 2017, Andria accepted her current position as Oncology Nurse Navigator with AdventHealth Daytona. She supports patients undergoing breast cancer treatments and works closely with the cancer care community to promote awareness, education, and connection to care.
Andria lives in Deltona with her husband of 17 vears and their 12-vear-old son. She likes yoga too!
