Alicia Ann Sumner, LCSW

Alicia Sumner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 7 years of experience supporting children, families, and now adult cancer patients. She has experience in both the military and correctional settings along with her social work degree. Currently, Alicia is an oncology social worker that provides emotional support, advocacy, and assists with resources for individuals and their family’s facing cancer.

She is dedicated to helping patients cope with the challenges of diagnosis and treatment while ensuring they feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout their journey. She specializes in counseling, crisis intervention, and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Alicia has worked extensively in school and nonprofit settings and is passionate about addressing systemic barriers and creating safe supportive environments where every voice is heard. In addition to her professional work, she enjoys mentoring new social workers and interns.
