Teacher Highlight: Kim Friedman, E-RYT 500




Kim has been teaching CPF since 2018. Yoga found her in 2008 after her husband had open heart surgery and she had a very stressful job in the corporate world working 60-70 hours a week and lots of travel. Since then, her life has changed significantly due to yoga, yoga philosophy, yoga benefits and the entire yoga lifestyle. Her yogic path is to serve her community by bringing information and knowledge.

2018 – Certified in the Christina Phipps Foundation – Yoga for Cancer

2019 – Certified in Science of Well-Being by Yale University – 20 CE

2020 – Certified in Y4C by Tari Prinster – 40 CE

2021 – Certified as Lead Teacher in Discovery Yoga in Kripalu Tradition Teacher

Experience


2,000+ hours of experienced teaching, certified by Yoga Alliance allowing my certification as ERYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher)

Teaching studio classes since 2016. A minimum of 2 classes per week

January 2019 started teaching Yoga for Cancer at AdventHealth Cancer Institute until March 2020. Moved the class to Zoom in June 2020.

2021 – Lead Teacher for Discovery Yoga in Kripalu Tradition for the 10 month 200 hr teacher training. Graduated 3 students in July 2022

2021 – Created and lead Health, Wellness and Cancer weekend workshop – 13 CE

2022 – Created and lead Health, Wellness and Yoga afternoon workshop – 3 CE

2022 – Lead Teacher for Discovery Yoga in Kripalu Tradition for the 10 month 200 hr teacher training. Session started in October 2022
