Kim has been teaching CPF yoga classes every Tuesday for free in Daytona Beach (during the pandemic she quickly switched to ZOOM). She has 9 regular students, a few drop ins with two in active cancer treatment. This is an amazing group of people, they support one another and come to class 30 minutes before it starts to share and talk with one another.
One of the CPF students started making breast pillows that the cancer institute can hand out to new breast cancer patients prior to their surgery. She has organized a "sewing bee" where students bring sewing machines. They have all the materials cut and pinned together, so they sew and stuff the pillows. The yoga class is making 160 pillows which will be used by 4 different cancer institutes in Volusia County. As Kim is the only CPF yoga teacher in this area we do need more teachers to help with classes as they get bigger.
