Elizabeth Michaels and fellow CPF Oncology Yoga teacher Naomi Maness will be speaking April 1, 2025 at 6:00 pm in the Matanzas Room, in the UF Health Flagler Hospital. The presentation will be geared to the Breast Cancer Support group, as both of these speakers are Oncology Yoga teachers at UF Health. They will discuss the healing power of yoga and introduce our CPF Oncology Yoga classes.
In 2011, when CPF first started yoga class at Flagler Hospital with Dr. Sheri Wallace teaching, we slowly put together a team of yoga teachers. This team, committing to once per month teaching, was how we were able to provide free, weekly yoga to the cancer community for so many years. Our CPF Flagler team system was a model for many other facilities all over the US since 2011.
This is one of the few hospitals that has a large wellness space where we can offer restorative yoga. The space holds many exercise classes, and even has storage for yoga props. The Christina Phipps Foundation has purchased props for this type of class for CPF at UF Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine. Our classes can be gentle mat class or restorative yoga for deep relaxation.

Naomi teaches Wednesdays from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm and Elizabeth teaches Fridays at 2pm. Flagler Wellness Center is located in St. Augustine, Florida.
