Shelly graduated from CPF Oncology Yoga Training October 15, 2023. Shelly’s own practice became even more important as she was battling breast cancer. However, this experience has also made her uniquely qualified to connect with, lead, and lift other patients through yoga.
After spending a life creating physical shapes as a gymnast, Shelly was introduced to yoga 30 years ago. In the many years since that introduction, Shelly has focused her teachings on creating inclusive spaces of self-discovery, resiliency building, and most importantly, laughter. Yoga teaches us that we are not broken in need of fixing. We may be wounded, in need of healing, but we are not broken. With breath, movement, and community, we can do hard things!
With a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, and completing a 200-HR RYT at Sutra Midtown in Phoenix, AZ , Shelly’s goal as a yoga teacher is to help others find freedom and joy that is, self-acceptance.
