Beth Daugherty, Executive Director

Beth Daugherty, M.S., M.A., E-RYT 500, YACEP has been working with the Christina Phipps Foundation since 2010. She was in the first training class offered by the foundation and offered a free CPF yoga class at her studio (Lifespan Yoga) in Jacksonville, FL. Since then she taught yoga at many of the CPF class locations including Mayo Clinic and MD Anderson Cancer Center. She has served on the Board of Directors and as Executive Director training over 260+ yoga teachers since the founding. She has grown the foundation to include live classes, Zoom and a CPF YouTube channel. There are now CPF teachers all over the southeastern USA, plus Utah, Texas, Washington, Maine, Germany and Greece. Click here for complete bio.

Jarrett Phipps, President

Jarrett is Christina’s sister and Ben and Phyllis’s daughter.  She has been actively involved with the Christina Phipps Foundation since the first graduation in 2010 and took leadership of the Christina Phipps Foundation in 2023.  Jarrett is a professor of Anthropology and History at Tallahassee Community College. As President of the Board of Directors she is moving the foundation into new areas of the US.

Harry “Roark” James, Christina’s brother-in-law, is married to Jarrett Phipps.  He knew Christina from 1999 until she died of cancer.  Roark loved to talk to Christina about the interests in her life and describes her adoringly as “Fierce.”  He sat in a Yoga class of hers toward the end of her life and remained devoted to her family and her husband Greg.  He supports the mission of the Christina Phipps Foundation in every way he can. 
Audrey Frazier, Treasurer

Audrey Frazier spent 12 years as secretary to Ben Phipps, where she provided dedicated administrative support and actively supported the Christina Phipps Foundation's initiatives. Audrey owns three businesses – a true entrepreneur – and holds a BA in Criminology from Florida State University.  Audrey's unique background includes growing up in a traveling circus, adding a distinctive touch to all her endeavors.  And, she is passionate about all things fitness, including yoga.

Dr. Margaret Alexander completed her CPF training in January 2023 and accepted her position to the board in May 2023.  She teaches a weekly CPF chair yoga class in Fleming Island, Florida.  She is a veteran, having served 20 years in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps in both clinical and executive medicine. Dr. Alexander has completed both the 200 YTT and 300 YTT.

Howella “Jeanie” Sallah

RYT-500, CPF, Accessible Yoga, L.V. Chair Yoga, Lifespan Yoga-Chair & Gentle and "Yoga for All" Certified.  Howella “Jeanie” Sallah’s yoga story began in the San Francisco Bay Area where she is originally from. Howella has been practicing for approximately 28 years and teaching yoga for the past 10 years, specializing in both Gentle and Chair Yoga. If she had to pick one word to describe her relationship with yoga it would be "Passionate". Howella is truly passionate about the wellness opportunities yoga can provide. She is passionate about the people it has the ability to help and she is equally as passionate about making her yoga classes "ACCESSIBLE TO ALL".
